Medical Marijuana: Timeline for Obtaining a CT Medical Marijuana Card

From the time that an eligible patient completes a certification exam with an iMed Chiropractic Medical practitioner until they can purchase any medical marijuana product from a dispensary is approximately 4 weeks. See Steps Necessary to Register.

Once the process is complete a temporary card gets emailed to the patient and you are allowed into the dispensary to purchase medical marijuana. A permanent card is then mailed to their home address 4-6 weeks after receiving the temporary.

The certification is good for one year and should be renewed in the 11th month to avoid any lapse in coverage.
